Imagine the possibility…of computers and technology so that distance education courses can be norm, not the exception. The investment in computers and technology will allow College of the Sequoias to:
Increase the number of distance education classes offered to District residents
Allow for greater partnerships with four-year institutions by providing greater ability to have classes held on the COS Campus, but be participating in a lecture at another institution.
Provide students with new technology so that they learn the most up-to-date software when entering the world of work.
In short, our students need technically relevant computers, software and other educational tools if they are to enter the workforce properly prepared. Measure I will help make that possible. Again, we can no longer count on the State to do it all—the resources are not available.
